Gamma-sterilized, flocked nasopharyngeal swabs are used for cell and virus specimen collection under a clinical setting. Unlike traditional swabs, collected samples via iClean NP swabs stay close to the surface for easier, faster, and more complete elution.

Manuals + Instructions

Collection Instructions
  1. Tilt patient head back and insert swab into nostril until swab collar touches the outside of the nose.
  2. Once swab is in place, rotate in a circular motion 2 times and keep in place for 10-15 seconds for optimal sample collection.
  3. Remove swab from patient and insert tip into an acceptable viral transport medium.
  4. Break swab shaft against the side of the tube, and close the lid.
  5. Transport specimen to testing laboratory.
